Adder bites man in park A man out for a walk in the park was bit on the foot by an adder on Saturday. The snake, which is native to the UK, was photographed by a passerby shortly after it struck. The victim, who is in his thirties, was treated at the scene by paramedics and did not require hospital treatment. He has been advised to keep an eye on the bite wound over the next few days.
